The Cincinnati Bengals have lost games in which they scored 38 (twice), 34, and 33 points.
That speaks volumes about how much the defense and coaching have let Joe Burrow down.
The former No. 1 pick has had a season for the ages, yet he might not even make the playoffs.
To put his numbers into perspective, Ari Meirov reported on X that Saturday’s win over the Denver Broncos marked his eighth consecutive game with at least 250 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.

Unfortunately, his team is just 5-3 during that stretch.
The Bengals are 8-8 on the season.
He leads the league in passing yards, passing yards per game, and passing touchdowns, and it’s not particularly close.
He has only thrown eight interceptions, which would be a career-best mark for him in a full season.
Burrow might be the best quarterback in the entire league, but unfortunately for him, this is a team sport.
Under Zac Taylor’s tutelage, his team has always started slowly, which should be addressed in the offseason.
Moreover, the team desperately needs to revamp their offensive line and defense.
They cannot waste his prime.
They also will have some tough decisions to make this offseason with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
