The Houston Astros are getting set to take on the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2022 World Series.
The series will start on Friday night at Minute Maid Park.
The first pitch is scheduled for 8:03 p.m. Eastern Time.
And while the Astros will be the heavy favorites in this World Series, one of their top stars in Yordan Alvarez leads in a unique category.
Alvarez is at the top in championship win probability, which is a new category that was added this year and includes the regular season and the postseason.
Alvarez sits at +14.6%.
Other players on the list include Bryce Harper (+13.9%), Zack Wheeler (+12.9%), and Kyle Schwarber (+7.2%).

Alvarez Leads In Important Category
This is an interesting new statistic that is being kept track of this fall, and it features some very prominent names such as Juan Soto, Manny Machado, Emmanuel Clase, Rhys Hoskins, and Giancarlo Stanton.
Ryan Pressley and Nick Martinez also find themselves on the list.
But it mainly goes to show just how valuable Alvarez is to the Astros and how impactful he has been for them this postseason.
Obviously, he came up big for the Astros in Games 1 and 2 of the ALDS against the rival Seattle Mariners.
He also picked up two hits in Game 4 of the ALCS against the New York Yankees and has an OPS of .888 this postseason.
So naturally, that’s going to get him some recognition.
But it’s been yet another impressive postseason run by the Astros this fall.
Alvarez is looking for his first World Series ring, and there’s a good chance he might get it this fall.
