Even though they don’t have the worst record in the league, the Washington Wizards might have the worst team overall.
They look poorly coached, play iso-heavy basketball on offense and freelance on defense, and are perhaps the only team in the league without a clear-cut franchise player.
But despite their evident shortage of talent, it doesn’t seem like they’re looking to make any big moves before the trade deadline.
According to a report by NBA insider Marc Stein, the Wizards have informed other teams that they intend to keep SF/PF Kyle Kuzma for the remainder of the season.
The Wizards have told interested teams they intend to keep Kyle Kuzma beyond today’s 3 PM deadline. More here on Washington’s stance: https://t.co/P3Pz2hsQQh https://t.co/toW9YZ069r

Kuzma was tied up in multiple rumors throughout the course of the campaign, being the lone bright spot for this otherwise unimpressive team.
Jordan Poole was supposed to be one of the league leaders in scoring, yet he’s regressed from his days in the Bay area, and it’s been up to Kuzma to pick up the slack for his teammates.
The 28-year-old forward is averaging 21.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.3 three-pointers per game on 45.5% from the field.
He’s not a superstar by any means, but Kuzma could still play a pivotal role on a championship contender.
He comes with postseason experience and is a former NBA champion, and he plays hard on both ends of the floor.
Unfortunately for him, he won’t be rescued from the nation’s capital for now.
At least he’s making plenty of money and won’t have to worry about giving up shots.
