Tyus Jones has only been with the Washington Wizards since the start of the season but he’s put up an average of 12.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists during that time, becoming an important part of the struggling team’s starting unit.
However, that doesn’t mean he will be with them when the season comes to an end.
Jake Fischer is reporting, via NBACentral, that the Wizards might be willing to deal Jones away for multiple second-round picks.
“Rival executives have indicated a confidence that Washington will ultimately be willing to move on from Jones for a package of multiple second-round picks. Last year’s trade deadline did see various players dealt for three and as many as five seconds,” Fischer said in his latest report.

Before his time with the Wizards, Jones played for both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies.
He was mostly a bench player for those teams but when he came to the Wizards, it was a chance for Jones to be a starting guard and improve his game in just about every way.
He has certainly enhanced his skills, but it is not clear if he will remain a starter if he moves to another franchise.
The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly been keeping an eye on Jones and think he could be a viable option if they say goodbye to D’Angelo Russell before the trade deadline.
But even if the Lakers pass on Jones, there are surely other teams that would be interested in him.
The Wizards’ season is all but lost at this point so that means they could really try to shake things up by next week’s deadline.
Jones could be leaving D.C., but other players might too.
