Don’t look now but the Washington Wizards are currently the second-best team in the NBA Eastern Conference.
The team has a 3-1 record and has gotten off to a pretty strong start.
Before the season began, there were many people thinking they wouldn’t make it far into the playoffs.
That might still be true but they’re showing more fight than expected.

That fight was dazzling on Tuesday night when they conquered the Detroit Pistons at home.
Multiple players were doing great work against the Pistons, including Kyle Kuzma, Will Barton, and Rui Hachimura.
But Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis were also giving fans something to cheer about.
During a particular play in the first quarter, Beal found Porzingis for a terrific alley-oop that got everyone on their feet.
This was a wonderful look from Beal and a throwback performance from Porzingis.
Both of these guys will need to continue playing like this if the Wizards want to build upon their good start.
Peak Porzingis
Porzingis might look a bit different than in years past (note the awesome beard) but his alley-oop with Beal harkened back to the start of his NBA career.
Here is a large, tall, lanky player best known for his injuries than his stat line who was slamming the ball down over much younger and stronger guys.
Wizards fans were ecstatic to see Porginizis play like this and they hope he can keep it up.
The season is long and both Beal and Porzingis aren’t young anymore, which means that injuries could catch up with them.
But if that doesn’t happen and Porzingis continues working well with Beal and others then the Wizards really could make noise in the East all season long.
