The Washington Wizards have not been competitive in years.
Six years ago was the last time the Wizards made it out of the first round of the playoffs.
With three years being their current playoff drought.
But, if they can stay healthy this season, the Wizards have a chance to end that drought.
Here are three reasons to watch the Wizards this season.
The Greatness Of Bradley Beal
The Wizards have one elite player and that is Bradley Beal.
The three-time all-star has had trouble staying healthy the past few seasons.
But, when he is on the court, Beal is one of the best scorers in the NBA.

Beal has not played a full season since 18-19,
So his health will be a necessity for a team looking to get back to the postseason.
Can Porzingis Produce?
The Wizards made a bold decision by trading for Kristaps Porzingis last season.
In 17 games with the Wizards last year, Porzingis averaged 22.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
He even shot the ball quite well with 47.5/36.7/87.1 shooting splits.
The main issue with Porzingis throughout his career is health.
The most games he has played in a season was 72 back when he was a rookie in 15-16.
Porzingis has immense talent and can help on both sides of the floor thanks to his 7’3″ frame.
His tenure in Dallas did not go as planned, but look for him to have a big season with the Wizards.
Recent Draft Picks
Since the Wizards have been bad the past few years, they have had plenty of lottery picks.
It is time to start seeing some of those players pay off this season.
Their last three first-round picks include Johnny Davis, Corey Kispert, and Deni Avdija.
One of those players needs to step up and become the future of the Wizards.
Davis is the most recent of their picks and he was picked 10th overall in this past draft.
But, he is not getting the playing time necessary to develop, and hopefully, that will change.
