This year’s upcoming NBA Draft isn’t a big headline-maker, but there are some interesting prospects who could develop into impact players at the next level.
One of them is Sam Griffin, a 6-foot-2 guard out of the University of Wyoming who can burn the nets.
The Golden State Warriors reportedly brought him in for a workout, per Jason Dumas (via NBACentral).

Overall, he averaged 16.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists a game this season.
Griffin had previously spent two seasons with the University of Tulsa, as well as two seasons at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Golden State will only have the No. 52 pick in this year’s draft, and after missing the playoffs, they have very few assets with which to reload and make one more sincere run while Stephen Curry is still a great player.
Klay Thompson, Curry’s longtime starting backcourt mate, isn’t what he used to be prior to his ACL and Achilles injuries a few years ago, and he is about to become a free agent.
If the Warriors won’t re-sign him, they will have to find a replacement who can light up the scoreboard from long distance on the regular.
Perhaps Brandin Podziemski, a 6-foot-5 guard who had a strong rookie year and started in 28 games, will be a worthy replacement for the five-time All-Star should Thompson leave this offseason.
