For years, Stephen Curry has made a living out of proving the NBA wrong.
He showed that jump-shooting teams could win an NBA championship and that you could be an efficient scorer despite shooting more three-pointers than anybody else.
He also proved that he could stay healthy and wasn’t injury-prone, and to the eyes of most, he’s one of the greatest — if not the greatest — point guards of all time.
However, Tracy McGrady just doesn’t feel that way.
When asked whether he thought Curry was a top-five player ever, the Hall of Famer claimed that he wasn’t even in his top ten (via ClutchPoints).
“Steph Curry is a top 5 NBA player all-time.”
Tracy McGrady: “No… He hasn’t cracked my top 10 yet… To me, if one of your guys is missing and you can’t make the playoffs, I can’t put you in [my] top 5 or top 10.”
Do you agree? ?

Per T-Mac, you cannot be a top-five player if you can’t make the playoffs just because one of your co-stars is missing.
That’s a valid point, but context matters and Curry was also hurt during one of those seasons.
At the end of the day, it’s all subjective, and T-Mac is entitled to his opinion.
That’s the beauty of sports: nothing is set in stone, and there will be as many top-ten rankings as NBA fans walking the face of the Earth.
Curry has done more than enough to be considered one of the best players this game has ever seen.
But if he hasn’t convinced someone by now, chances are he’s never going to do it.
