The Golden State Warriors have been one of the NBA’s best teams over the past decade.
They have continued to play at an elite level due to a combination of their on-court talent, along with superb coaching.
While they might have a great roster, at a certain point, they have to make sure everyone is paid a fair market value.

This move may have suggested that the Warriors are all-in, hoping to get at least one more title before the team splits.
In the NBA, retaining all of your star players is difficult.
Dunleavy gave confidence that the front office will do anything possible to retain Kerr and Thompson, keeping that core together.
