The Minnesota Vikings defense showed promising growth this season after bolstering the pass rush, but the possibility of adding Myles Garrett has sparked excitement among fans and players alike.
Under defensive coordinator Brian Flores, the prospect of having a generational talent like Garrett wreaking havoc on one side of the line is a tantalizing thought, particularly for star wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
Upon learning about Garrett’s trade request, Jefferson made a direct pitch.
“Myles, you know where to go brother. Hey, we need about one, two extra pieces, and you’ll fill in that piece. We need you,” Jefferson said, via VikingzFanPage

The Vikings’ pass rush, led by Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel, has proven effective.
However, adding Garrett to the mix could transform an already solid defense into an elite unit.
Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah likely has valuable insight into how the All-Pro would mesh with the team’s culture.
At 29 years old, Garrett continues to perform at an exceptional level, earning his fourth First-Team All-Pro selection this season after accumulating 14 sacks and leading the NFL in pressures.
The logistics of acquiring Garrett, however, present significant challenges.
With two years remaining on his contract, any trade would be complex.
Despite the obstacles, the possibility can’t be completely dismissed, though finding a team willing to meet Cleveland’s presumably steep asking price remains a substantial hurdle.
