If the Los Angeles Lakers hope to turn things around and have a season that is much, much better than the last, they need to work on just about every aspect of their team.
And one of the most important things that need to get far better at is shot selection and three-pointers.
There were so many disappointing aspects of the team last season but their inability to get good shots was one of the most glaring.

The team’s big three of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook are seemingly aware of that issue because they were spotted in the gym the other day practicing their three-point shots.
For what it’s worth, they all looked to be pretty good from beyond the arc.
While it is true that practicing a three-point shot is a lot different than making one in the middle of a real game, footage of these guys on the court like this is very good news for Lakers fans.
Is this a sign that the new season really will be better than the last?
The Big Three Working On Threes
The footage is relieving to followers of Los Angeles.
It’s particularly good to see Westbrook making these shots.
He was only 29.8% from the three-point line last year.
But Westbrook has never been truly great with threes, only landing them 30.5% of the time during his career.
Still, he was brought onto the Lakers with hopes of him being an offensive threat and he certainly was not that last year.
His 44.4% field goal percentage isn’t awful but his shot selection was nightmarish at times and left fans shaking their heads.
It’s good to see all three of these men practicing but we will see if it converts to the regular season.
