Over the course of the NBA offseason, quite a few top-tier teams around the league made a splash in one way or another to upgrade their roster in preparation for the 2023-24 season.
Two teams in the Eastern Conference made the biggest impact on the league over the summer, with the Boston Celtics bringing in Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis while the Milwaukee Bucks acquired Damian Lillard to play alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.
With so many moves being made, a lot of teams in the league haven’t even been mentioned during the offseason, nor will they be when the season officially gets underway later this month.
One of those teams is the Orlando Magic, who is expected to have another rough season with a roster filled with many talented young players who are simply not ready to take the next step.
Although no one expects much from the Magic, who finished with a record of 34-48 last year, Markelle Fultz appears to be on a mission to prove his worth after arguably having his best season during the 2022-23 campaign via NBA Central.

At this point in his NBA career, Fultz will likely never live up to being the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, as he’s dealt with far too many injuries and has only just come off his best season to date.
However, Fultz can be part of something special if the Magic can put it together this season, as the team has plenty of players who could take the next step, like Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner.
