After a disappointing end to the 2022-23 NBA regular season, which finished without an appearance in the NBA playoffs, the Dallas Mavericks have seemingly been able to right the ship this season with Luka Doncic playing the best basketball of his career.
It was uncertain what the Mavericks would be able to accomplish this season after such an awful end to last season, but Doncic and company have been able to live up to expectations, with the team sporting a record of 33-24.
Although the team could be better at this point in the season, the competition in the Western Conference is as good as it has ever been, which could lead to a tough stretch down the road for Dallas.
Despite the tough path to the NBA Finals this year, with so many tough teams in the West, the Mavericks seem to be in good spirits, with Doncic having a lot of fun this season.
Along with recently dropping a career-high 73 points, Doncic has been putting on a show with trick shots from what he did during NBA All-Star Weekend to this trick shot that was posted by the team’s Twitter account.

With Doncic averaging a league-best 34.3 points per game, the Slovenian product seems to be the only player that might be able to give Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets a run for his money for the NBA MVP award.
The immediate future could be bright for the Mavericks if Doncic can continue to play at this level while helping his team win games on a nightly basis.
