Ja Morant undoubtedly has a greater ceiling than most of his peers in the NBA right now.
Being drafted as the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Morant has only gotten better with each passing season in the league.
Morant’s career was somewhat derailed during the 2022-23 NBA season due to multiple gun-related controversies.
While Morant is serving a 25-game suspension to begin the new season, he’s still allowed to practice with his teammates.
Morant is seemingly trying to make the most out of his free time as he was seen playing basketball with kids at a Nike basketball camp via Overtime on Twitter.

Many fans commented that the video was a publicity stunt by Morant to take away people’s attention from his controversies.
At the end of the day, if Morant has actually become a better person, it’ll reflect on his behavior in the 2023-24 season.
Last season, Morant averaged 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game, despite being surrounded by controversies.
For the upcoming season, the Grizzlies expect Morant to be on his best behavior.
After all, Morant’s actions have reflected poorly on the team.
Will Morant change his behavior and ultimately become a good role model for kids around the world? Only time will tell.
Morant may hold a few more camps in the future to get on the good side of fans.
