The 2022-23 NBA season is here and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is looking to do something few players ever have.
Jokic is already a two-time MVP, winning the trophy in back-to-back seasons because of his unique style of play for a big man.
His goal is to win the award yet again in 2022-23, even though only a small, small number of NBA stars have ever won three MVPs in a row.

The NBA released a sizzle reel of Jokic and his incredible basketball skills.
While he might not win MVP again, there is no denying that he is easily one of the best players alive.
There really aren’t any other guys in the league like Jokic right now.
Watching him play the game truly is “pure basketball delight.”
MVP Number Three
If the competition wasn’t so tough this year, Jokic could possibly nab another MVP award.
But Jokic is going to be battling against some other superstars who are tired of seeing that honor pass them by.
Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid are all angling to claim MVP this year.
Then there are other candidates, such as Ja Morant, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and others who want to shoot their shots too.
Jokic, meanwhile, will be working hard to get his Nuggets back in good shape now that Jamal Murray is finally returning to the team.
Even though he’s won two MVP trophies, Jokic’s team has been struggling over the last year.
That might not be the case this season.
Therefore, Jokic might miss out on MVP but he could be walking away with a bigger honor: a spot in the NBA Finals.
