It seems like it was just yesterday when a now-infamous picture of New York Giants players on a boat in Miami took social media by storm.
Some fans took offense at the fact that they took that trip right before a key postseason game, while others have used it to mock them more often than not.
Recently, former Giants star Victor Cruz revealed some details about this on the “Green Light” podcast (via JPAFootball).

Cruz revealed that the Timberland boots worn by Odell Beckham Jr. in the picture actually belonged to him, as he lent them to him because he didn’t have any shoes on at the time.
The veteran wideout wasn’t so sure about the trip, and tried to get his teammates to postpone it for a couple of weeks.
However, he said his teammates were so locked in, so he got there to make sure everybody got back in one piece.
This was in January 2017, just days before they had to face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
The receiving squad decided to bond and kick things off in Miami, but it didn’t do a lot to help their cause, as they dropped the game, 38-13.
Perhaps they shouldn’t have prepared for a game in Green Bay’s freezing cold temperatures by going to Miami.
Looking back, however, that picture could’ve gone down as one of the coldest in sports history had the Giants been able to go the distance and win the whole thing that season.
