The New York Giants managed to avoid a catastrophe in Week 2.
Being down 21 points late in the third quarter to arguably the worst team in the league and allowing 60 points before scoring their first touchdown of the season was a terrible look for Brian Daboll’s team and one that they may not have been able to come back from this season.
Daniel Jones had one of the best games of his career and led his team to this epic comeback.
Notably, that’s not going to be as easy when they face the San Francisco 49ers on a short week for Thursday Night Football, especially with an undermanned offense with no Saquon Barkley.
That’s why former NFL player Willie Colon believes the Giants cannot wait and hope that Jones will put them on his shoulders again, as they’ll need to be at their best as a team to even stand a chance to beat a team like Kyle Shanahan’s.
"It can't be all Daniel Jones today, it has to be a team effort."

The Giants entered the season on the heels of a very positive campaign.
They even managed to win a playoff game on the road, and Jones had the best season of his career.
That’s why it was such a big surprise to see them struggle so badly against the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals.
Losing to the Niners won’t be the end of the world for them, and it’s a loss they could somewhat afford.
But even if they lose, they simply cannot look like the same team they were in the first six quarters of their season.
