The Philadelphia 76ers’ nightmarish season is finally over, thankfully.
After a slew of injuries and setbacks, they ended the year with a 24-58 record, not even within reach of the Play-In Tournament.
So, is there anything good coming out of this season?
According to Sixers star Tyrese Maxey, a positive attitude is important right now.
“This is going to sound bad, but the one positive I do take away is the only way it can go from here is up. You know what I mean?” Maxey said to Keith Pompey.

A disastrous Sixers season comes to a close and the players say things…

Maxey said a potentially bright future gives the Sixers “something to build on,” and fans want to see them building right away.
People knew this season would be tough because the Eastern Conference got stronger, but few thought the 76ers would be such a mess.
There were warning signs right away when Joel Embiid was hurt before the first game, and the team only gave vague responses about how much he would play.
Then things got worse as more and more people became injured.
Maxey himself had a few physical problems, but he also produced a great stat line, averaging 26.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game on 43.7 percent from the field.
He was forced into a leadership role this year without Embiid and Paul George, and he looked incredibly comfortable with that.
Fans are now hoping that next season is light-years ahead of this one, with no injuries and a desire to make up for lost time.
The team definitely has talent, but this season, they also had bad luck.
Maxey said the only way to move forward is to go up, and that will hopefully be the case for the 76ers in 2025-26.
