Kelly Oubre Jr. just concluded his second season with the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
Oubre now has a decision to make: does he pick up his player option or not?
It sounds like he has a lot to think about but remains happy to be playing in Philadelphia.
“I’m a Philadelphia 76er. I’m blessed to be a part of this organization. I’m here in front of you guys right now. I’m taking it day by day. But also this is a business,” Oubre said to Keith Pompey.
He added, “But at the end of the day, I’m happy, and I feel like I like to finish what I start, and I don’t feel complete. So you know, Godspeed and yeah, I’m still here.”

Just like everyone else, Oubre is disappointed by how this season went for the Sixers.
They never got off the ground, and the injury problem that plagued their entire roster made success truly impossible.
But, again, like everyone else, Oubre knows the team has a ton of talent and it could do great things if it remains healthy.

This summer could be one of great change for the 76ers, and multiple players and coaches could be shown the exit.
So, Oubre should sit tight, weigh his options, and see what moves the front office makes before he makes a decision about his future with the team.
Philadelphia fans are hoping that next season is much better than 2024-25, but will Oubre be around to witness it?
