The race in the NFL among wide receivers to see who’s elite in 2022 sees Tyreek Hill facing some competition.
Since joining the Miami Dolphins this season, Hill has been impressing everyone with his play.
However, other NFL players are on his heels as he holds a narrow lead in an elite statistic.
So what statistic is Hill holding a narrow lead in this season?

However, Hill is on pace to have his best performance since 2018.
While he’s attempting to bypass his best career performance, he’s got Jefferson on his heels.
With Jefferson being the anchor of the Minnesota Vikings offense, he can easily bypass Hill.
The reason is how Tua Tagovailoa spreads the ball around to his receivers in Miami.
Because of this, the Dolphins have two receivers in the top-five for receiving yards.
With Jaylen Waddle having 963 receiving yards, he ranks fifth in receiving yards.
These are yards which he gets from the threat of Hill being on the field.
However, these are also yards Hill could have if the Dolphins offense didn’t have multiple threats in the passing game.
But even with Waddle around, Hill is making an enormous impact in the passing game in Miami.
If he continues, he can break the receiving yards record in a single season.
With six games remaining, Hill has plenty of time to stay ahead in the race and break an NFL record.
