Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is having an impressive 2022 NFL campaign.
Although some said that he was off to a slow start to his career, the statistics are telling another story.
Through 30 career starts, Tua Tagovailoa has
-More passing yards than Tom Brady
-Fewer INTs than Aaron Rodgers
-More passing TDs than Joe Montana
-Higher completion % than Kurt Warner pic.twitter.com/O7DSA4Q93i— CBS Sports (@CBSSports) November 28, 2022
Although it is a relatively small sample size, the fact that Tua is on the same playing field through 30 games as the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Montana, and Kurt Warner is certainly a step in the right direction.
With weapons like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Mike Gesicki, he is surrounded by great talent.
The Atmospheric Rise Of Tua
Not only is Tua performing well on the field, but he seems to have a better support system off the field than he initially had under the tutelage of Brian Flores.
The Dolphins’ new coach, Mike McDaniels, has been a positive influence on Tua, along with the entire locker room.
The players respect McDaniels, and it’s evident that he has full control of the locker room.
Creating a great culture will certainly make the players respect a coach more.
Plus, winning seems to help as well.
The Dolphins are currently tied with the Buffalo Bills for the lead in the AFC East and are slated to make the playoffs.
With a record of 8-3, this is the best Dolphins team in quite some time.
In the last 20 years, the Dolphins’ best record was 11-5, and they are currently on pace to surpass that.
Although the season is far from over, the combination of McDaniel, Tua, Hill, and Waddle should be a lethal combination for years to come.
