The Minnesota Twins are proud of their playoff history.
They have 17 postseason appearances, six pennants, and three World Series championships, the last one coming in 1991.
They have been frequent guests in the playoffs even after the turn of the millennium, with nine appearances since 2000.
In one of the most shocking stats you will ever see, they are winless in October since 2004.
In fact, Codify Baseball shows us when exactly was their most recent postseason victory.

Even the Los Angeles Angels have a more recent postseason victory than the Twins.
For context: the last time Minnesota won a playoff game, Johan Santana won his first Cy Young award, Joe Nathan saved 44 games, Joe Mauer was a rookie, and Torii Hunter was in his prime.
That year, the Twins lost the American League Division Series to the New York Yankees.
Ever since that year, Minnesota has made the playoffs on several occasions, but they have been unable to get another victory.
They haven’t won a playoff series since 2002.
It’s time for Twins fans to remember what it’s like to celebrate in October.
They won the AL Central title, but the competition in the American League is so tough that even the reigning World Series champs, the Houston Astros, are at risk of missing the playoffs.
The AL landscape has the Baltimore Orioles, the Tampa Bay Rays, the Texas Rangers, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Seattle Mariners, and the Astros as the Twins’ obstacles on their way to the title.
Not all those organizations will make it into October, but all of them are capable of big things in 2023.
It will be a nice challenge for the Twins.
