The Dallas Cowboys have gotten way better over the past couple of years, and plenty of that has had to do with their defense.
And even though they haven’t reached their full potential or been able to get over the hump as a team anyway, some of their players continue to establish themselves amongst the league’s elite.
That’s the case with star cornerback Trevon Diggs, who has led the league in interceptions since 2020, according to StatMuse NFL.
Per their tweet, he’s grabbed 17 interceptions to go along with two touchdowns and 142 tackles in 45 games spanning three seasons.

Diggs has established himself as the ultimate ball-hawk, earning himself a big payday to stay with America’s Team for years to come.
He used to play wide receiver before converting to cornerback in college, and you can tell he has great hands to out-gain his opposition.
Of course, Diggs has also been on the wrong end of multiple huge plays, which is why he’s always been a bit of a controversial figure around the league.
But there’s no denying that he has the potential to be a lockdown corner for years to come, and — just like his brother — he plays with that contagious competitive fire that forces everybody around him to play up his level and leave it all on the field next season.
If he stays focused and doesn’t gamble as often as he’s done throughout the course of his brief career, the Cowboys’ secondary defense will rank among the most dominant in the league.
