The Dallas Cowboys are under a lot of pressure in 2023.
They’ve been one of the biggest stories of the offseason, as many have scrutinized their early playoff exit in 2022.
The quality of Dak Prescott’s play has been questioned, with many wondering if he’s the best possible leader for this franchise.
He recently got into an on-field conflict with Trevon Diggs, which reportedly featured trash talk between the two.
Prescott did publically respond to this conflict, but his response was taken with a grain of salt.

When asked about this response in a segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, LeSean McCoy said, “As a quarterback, they are held to a higher standard.”

As a leader for the organization, McCoy did acknowledge that Prescott’s comments were in line with his expectations for a quarterback.
However, McCoy also said, “A guy like Jalen Hurts, I can’t see anyone saying those type of words to their leader, their captain.”
He indicated that there could be a lack of respect for Prescott within the building, a potential reason for Diggs’ comments in the first place.
Prescott has thrown several interceptions during training camp, something he vowed wouldn’t be the case, especially in the regular season.
While it’s not exactly known the reasoning for the trash talk between the two, Prescott’s interceptions could be a massive part of their debate.
If he has a tough time reading the DBs on his team, what does that say about him in an actual game?
The Cowboys have a lot of questions to answer during the regular season.
Is Prescott ready to answer them?
