There’s no question that the Kansas City Chiefs are the class of the NFL, and they proved themselves yet again after beating the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round to advance to the AFC Championship.
The Chiefs beat the Texans 23-14, and while the score might not reflect it, the game never felt awfully close.
Kansas City’s defense kept C.J. Stroud in check, as he only had 245 passing yards and no touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs won the game the same way they have basically all year: by keeping the offense on schedule and limiting their own mistakes.
The methodical approach has led some to believe Kansas City doesn’t have the same ceiling they had in years past, but the results speak for themselves at this point.
Travis Kelce was instrumental in the win as he pulled in seven receptions for 117 yards and one touchdown.
After the game, Kelce had a strong statement regarding his feelings on the postseason via Marleah Campbell of KCTV5 News.
“There’s nothing better than playoff football,” Kelce said.

Although Kelce appears to have lost a step on the field, he remains Patrick Mahomes’ most trusted target in the passing game.
He’s shown the ability to rise up in the playoffs.
Kelce looked his age during the regular season and often fell behind in the offensive pecking order, but it’s clear that he’s still an integral part of the offense.
Now heading into their seventh straight AFC Championship Game, the Chiefs await the winner between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills.
