Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks doesn’t just love basketball, he loves all sports.
That was made apparent again on Wednesday morning when Young announced that he is the new co-owner of a brand new Major League Pickleball team, the Atlanta Bouncers.

According to the Major League Pickleball website, the Bouncers were named as an homage to Atlanta’s bustling bar scene.
The team was just established this year by Anheuser-Busch and is one of the many exciting crews playing this up-and-coming sport.
Over the last few years, pickleball has become a huge presence all over the globe and it’s considered the world’s fastest-growing sport by many.
Young’s involvement with the Bouncers is welcomed by fans of the Hawks.
For the last season, there have been numerous pesky rumors about Young wanting to leave his team.
He has been reportedly unhappy with the level of success the Hawks have found.
However, he hasn’t demanded a trade – at least not yet.
The Hawks received a new coach right before the end of 2022-23.
While some weren’t blown away by Quin Snyder’s record of 10-11, the consensus is that he is a terrific coach and could hold the key to helping the team return to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Still, everyone should expect much more speculation about Young in the months ahead.
All eyes will be on every move he makes and people will keep wondering what his plans are.
Co-owning an Atlanta team means that Young is definitely setting more roots in the region.
But that doesn’t guarantee that he won’t still try to depart from the Hawks in the near future.
