Former NFL head coach and Super Bowl champion Tony Dungy is still a well-respected voice around the league and has always been praised for having a strong eye for talent and a calm demeanor that inspires confidence.
This is why his recent comments about Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold caught the attention of many fans, as Dungy listed the one big question he has about Minnesota’s QB.
In a recent clip shared on “Sunday Night Football” via Instagram, Dungy said about Darnold, “He’s playing like a Hall of Famer. Can he do it now in the big moments, though, in crunch time? That’s what remains to be seen.”

The Vikings signed Darnold to serve as a one-year bridge until rookie J.J. McCarthy gets his feet wet, but Darnold has been so much more than just a stopgap.
He has led the Vikings to an 11-2 record.
McCarthy has spent the entire season on injured reserve thanks to a knee injury.
Darnold is playing so well that many wonder if the Vikings can afford to let him walk in the offseason and hand the keys to McCarthy.
Darnold is tied for third in the NFL with a career-high 28 touchdown passes while completing a career-high 68.4 percent of his passes for 3,299 yards through 13 games.
Minnesota’s losses so far this season have been against strong opponents in close games, and Darnold played well in both games.
Many are still waiting for the other shoe to drop and for this fairytale to end, but until proven otherwise, Darnold is legit, and this team is a force to be reckoned with.
