The New York Knicks made themselves into dark-horse contenders in the Eastern Conference by making a couple of trades that brought them OG Anunoby, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Alec Burks.
But lately, the Knicks have been banged up, which has been a factor in them losing seven of their last 10 games.
Anunoby is one player who has been out lately due to injury, and head coach Tom Thibodeau said he is making some progress after undergoing elbow surgery earlier this month, per Knicks Videos.
“He’s been clear for on court work,” Thibodeau said.

New York got rid of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to get Anunoby, and Anunoby quickly gave them a legitimate 3-and-D wing who has length.
In 14 games with them, he has averaged 15.6 points a game while shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from 3-point range.
Shortly after he arrived, the Knicks went on a nine-game winning streak, and thanks to that run, they climbed all the way to third place in the Eastern Conference.
The Anunoby trade also brought the Knicks big man Precious Achiuwa, who has helped them defensively and on the boards.
During their recent slide, they have also been without power forward Julius Randle, big men Mitchell Robinson and Isaiah Hartenstein, and star guard Jalen Brunson.
But once they get healthy, the Knicks are expected to make a deep playoff run.
In fact, some feel they have the best shot at challenging the Boston Celtics for Eastern Conference supremacy come playoff time.
