For most of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs haven’t looked like the team to beat in the league.
Yet they have only lost one game this season.
The Chiefs have struggled on offense for the most part, but Patrick Mahomes always finds a way to lead them to victory when it matters the most.
That’s why Tom Brady would choose him on any given day.
The legendary quarterback recently claimed he would take Mahomes in any one-score game because he’s got ‘championship DNA’ (via B/R Gridiron).

Coming from one of two quarterbacks to beat him in the playoffs, that has to mean a lot.
Brady holds the record with seven Super Bowl rings, and Mahomes looks like the only player who could challenge him at the mountaintop.
Mahomes has had his worst year by most standards this season, but he’s still been the best quarterback in the league in late-game situations.
The Chiefs have won way too many close games.
While most people would agree that they don’t look as dominant as they did in the past and might be more vulnerable now than ever, their record states otherwise.
Their undefeated season would still be in play if it weren’t for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
At the end of the day, style points don’t win Super Bowls.
Efficient play does, and the Chiefs have been efficient when they’ve needed to be.
MVP season or not, Mahomes still holds the crown.
