The Tennessee Titans are making waves with their latest front office move, as reports indicate they’re closing in on Kansas City Chiefs assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi to take over as their new GM.
The decision comes after two weeks of thorough interviews conducted by Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker, signaling an exciting new direction for the franchise.
Titans insider Paul Kuharsky confirmed that Borgonzi will step into the role previously held by Ran Carthon.
The move marks a significant shift in the Titans’ leadership structure following Carthon’s departure earlier this month.

Carthon’s tenure with the Titans ended after a challenging stretch that saw the team post a disappointing 9-25 record over the past two seasons.
Borgonzi inherits a team at a crucial juncture, with the Titans holding the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft following a 3-14 campaign.
The appointment makes Borgonzi the sixth full-time general manager in Titans history, but notably their third GM in just four years, following the tenures of Carthon and Jon Robinson, the latter having been dismissed midway through the 2022 season.
Borgonzi brings nearly two decades of experience from the Chiefs organization, where he built an impressive career from the ground up.
Starting in scouting, he steadily climbed the ranks before earning his assistant GM role in 2021.
His extensive background spans both operations and player personnel, and he notably maintained positions as the Chiefs built their championship dynasty.
