Just a few weeks ago, the Washington Wizards suffered a humiliating ten-game losing streak.
They fell to teams such as the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and others – squads they should have been able to overcome.
Once again, things were not looking good for the crew and people were wondering if the Wiz would ever be a fully functioning team in the East.
Fact of the day: the Washington Wizards are still an NBA team. Even more amazing, they've won five straight (Kings, Sixers, Suns, Magic, Bucks).
Haven't seen them talked about since 2017, but they've been doing some good stuff lately. Rui Hachimura has been on a tear.

Things have changed.
The Wizards have now won five straight games, against the Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, and Milwaukee Bucks.
As Steph Noh brings up, particular attention needs to be paid to Rui Hachimura, who has been doing incredible work lately.
For the season, Hachimura is averaging 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting 52.2% from the field.
He has been very exciting lately: scoring 26, 16, 30, 12, and 21 points during the current win streak.
His shot selection has been stellar and he even reached an 84.6% field goal percentage recently.
It’s not clear what’s next for the Wizards: will the team continue to thrive or will they once again start coming up short in the next few weeks?
The team is currently without Bradley Beal but everyone has been stepping up in his absence.
Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis have both become far more comfortable leading the team and have found a second wind with the Wizards.
Of course, both of those players have been rumored trade targets too so it’s possible they won’t be there for much longer.
Will the Wizards attempt to hold onto these stars and try to build the franchise around them or trade them away when they have hot hands and attempt to get more in return?
