No one would claim that the Washington Wizards are one of the best teams in the NBA.
They are currently 10th in the East with a lacking 17-21 record.
However, they might be turning things around: they have won 5 games in a row, beating teams like the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Phoenix Suns.
So, maybe it’s all looking up for the Wizards.
Kyle Kuzma is quietly having a near all-star caliber season:

A major part of the team’s recent winning streak is Kyle Kuzma.
Kuzma is playing his second season for the Wizards and it just so happens that this is his best year in the league yet.
He is posting 21.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, going at 47% from the field and 35% from the three.
For years now, fans have been waiting for Kuzma to truly deliver the goods – and now he is.
So, of course, there are rumors of him being traded away to another NBA team.
His field goal percentage is at a career-high while he is shooting some of the best threes he has in years.
Obviously, his trade value is rising and there are quite a few teams who would love to sign Kuzma for the foreseeable future.
One of those teams is the Los Angeles Lakes, ironically.
That is the team that drafted Kuzma and he played for them from 2017 to 2021, before being part of the monster Russell Westbrook trade.
Do the Lakers have the sort of capital and assets needed to land Kuzma, who has only gotten better since leaving LA?
That remains to be seen and right now all fans are just seeing how much better Kuzma can become for the rest of the season.
