Thursday was not a good day on the South Side of Chicago, as the Chicago White Sox came up with one of the most brutal losses of the season to date.
In their series finale against the Houston Astros, the pitching came up just a bit short.
By the bottom of the fourth, they were down 10-0.
The Astros won by a final of 21-5.
The White Sox pitching staff couldn’t hold off Houston’s onslaught.
After the game, the White Sox tweeted a graphic of the final score, with the Astros logo and the number 21 next to it being tiny and the White Sox logo remaining a normal size.
They also captioned it quite nicely.

White Sox: 5. Not White Sox: More Than 5.
That’s one way to move on from a bad loss.
Sometimes, you just need to forget about the tough ones and move onto the next game.
It was not a good day for Chicago or their pitching staff.
The caption for the tweet was perfect though, as was the setup.
That’s sometimes the best way a team can move past a bad loss like yesterday’s loss.
It’s a good strategy if you think about it.
The White Sox ultimately split the four-game series with the Astros, which is one positive to take away from it considering where they have been most of the season and that the Astros currently own the best record in the American League.
They’ll head to Cleveland for a very important three-game weekend set against the Cleveland Guardians, who currently lead the AL Central by a game over the Minnesota Twins.
Yesterday’s loss was a bad one, but the White Sox have a chance to rebound, and it starts tonight in Cleveland.
