Many people have been criticizing the Golden State Warriors because of their lacking output compared to their championship run last year.
The team has indeed been a bit of a mess in many ways, which is both surprising and disappointing to fans.
But there is one thing that hasn’t changed about the Warriors: Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are still two of the best shooters in the league.
Hoop Muse pointed out that these two are leading the NBA when it comes to three-pointers made by players with a 40+ three-point percentage.
Curry, who is shooting 43% from the three, is making 4.9 per game.
And Thompson, with a 41% three-point percentage, is right behind him, landing 4.3 per game.
Most 3PM Per Game on 40+ 3P% this season:
4.9 — Stephen Curry (43%)
4.3 — Klay Thompson (41%)
3.6 — Buddy Hield (42%)
3.0 — Michael Porter Jr. (42%)
2.9 — Tyrese Haliburton (40%) pic.twitter.com/CpcJs1JJ6U

There are other terrific three-point masters in the league right now, such as Buddy Hield (3.5 per game), Michael Porter Jr. (3 per game), and Tyrese Haliburton (2.9 per game) but it’s again Curry and Thompson above the rest.
This isn’t a surprising statistic considering the Warriors – and especially Curry – have changed the way the league feels about three-point shots.
The arrival and rise of Curry emphasized the importance of shooting from downtown.
Since his great success, nearly every other team in the Association has prioritized threes much more.
But no one does it like the Splash Brothers.
Even with their terrific three-pointers, the Warriors are still trying to fight their way out of a rut that has lasted all season long.
They are the sixth team in the West and have a strong chance of needing to fight in the play-in games next week.
If they aren’t able to make the playoffs, it will be a major shock just one year after winning their latest championship.
It’ll prove that a team needs more than lights-out three-point shooting to win it all.NEXT: Stephen A. Smith Makes A Bold Statement About The Warriors
