The 2022-23 season has been a wild ride for the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors.
The Dubs have been dominant as per usual at home but have been a bottom-feeding, bottom-five team when they’ve had to leave the Bay Area.
That’s why they have yet to secure a spot in the playoffs and why several analysts are counting them out of championship contention already.
Nonetheless, Stephen A. Smith will never sleep on them, especially now that Andrew Wiggins is reportedly on the verge of coming back.
Stephen A. explained how adding another elite defender and versatile scorer could propel the Warriors’ playoff chances, adding that Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson can definitely win some games on the road.

Wiggins has missed more than 20 games this season while dealing with a family matter, reportedly a health condition from his father.
But he’s nearing a return when it matters the most, and we can’t also ignore the fact that the Warriors just got Gary Payton II back as well.
Jonathan Kuminga has surged in Wiggins’ absence, and Donte DiVincenzo is another versatile stopper that could come in very handy in the postseason.
So, yeah, the Dubs might not have a lot of time to turn the intensity up a notch and fix their season-long woes.
But they’ll now have two elite defenders back on the floor to try and solve their defensive miscues on the road, and they have the championship pedigree to be a perennial threat in any seven-game series.
