Reports suggest Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is emerging as the leading candidate for the position.
However, with the Eagles still battling in the playoffs, any potential deal would have to wait until after the Super Bowl.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter shed light on the situation during NFL Live, suggesting Moore’s future might be tied to the very stadium where he’ll be coaching this Sunday.
“He is coaching on Sunday in the Super Bowl in the Superdome and it’s shaping up for Kellen Moore to stay in New Orleans as the Saints next head coach,” Schefter reported. “The Saints are doing everything they can to obey the rules and make sure they don’t do anything illegal or that the Eagles could come after them on.”

According to Schefter, the Saints are carefully navigating the hiring process behind the scenes.
While maintaining strict compliance with league protocols to avoid any conflicts with the Eagles, they’ve made it clear that Moore tops their list. The team plans to reconnect next week, hoping to seal the deal.
This potential move would mark Moore’s first head coaching position after spending six years as a coordinator.
His coaching journey began with the Dallas Cowboys right after hanging up his cleats, starting as their quarterbacks coach.
Since then, he’s built an impressive resume as offensive coordinator for the Cowboys, Eagles, and Los Angeles Chargers.
