The New Orleans Saints have plenty of issues to address in the offseason.
Kellen Moore has not yet signed his contract to become their next head coach, but all indications suggest this will occur soon after the Super Bowl.
The Saints’ quarterback situation is far from ideal at the moment, and with an offensive-minded coach coming to town, it’s likely they will seek to strengthen their offense in the NFL Draft.
With that in mind, Kay Adams asked former Saints running back Mark Ingram II his thoughts on what they should do with their No. 9 selection.
Talking on “Up & Adams,” Ingram made a case for them to take Ashton Jeanty.

He praised Jeanty, referring to him as a ‘beast’ who could run both outside and inside, taking the ball out of the backfield or making an impact as a pass-catcher.
He argued that acquiring a player of Jeanty’s caliber would enable Alvin Kamara to remain fresh and excel as well, adding that the Saints could have a two-headed monster at that position.
Jeanty had one of the most impressive seasons in college football history last season, and he’s put himself in a position to potentially be a top-ten pick despite being a running back.
Nevertheless, there are also some concerns there.
He’s not particularly big, and he didn’t play against high-end competition at Boise State, so some are worried that his numbers might not necessarily translate to the pros.
The Saints need help at multiple positions, but Jeanty might definitely be a possibility.
