The Houston Rockets will have a league-leading $60 million in cap space for the upcoming season.
They will also have a new coach after hiring Ime Udoka to develop a winning culture within their young locker room.
With that in mind, Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports that the team could make the most of that free cap space by pursuing Dillon Brooks and Austin Reaves this offseason.
They are also expected to have interest in Brook Lopez and Cam Johnson.

Brooks reportedly won’t be brought back by the Memphis Grizzlies after his antics this season and some missed defensive assignments and poor shooting in the playoffs.
However, he’s still a young guy who can hold his own on the defensive end of the floor and get his points, and he could be valuable at a discount.
Reaves, on the other hand, has emerged as one of the Los Angeles Lakers’ top bucket-getters, and they’re reportedly expected to match any offer for his services as a restricted free agent.
As for Lopez and Johnson, they’re both question marks ahead of free agency, as a lot of their fate will have to do with whether their teams actually want to bring them back and are willing to meet their asking prices.
The Rockets are also reportedly in the mix to get James Harden back, and that would obviously take a major toll on their salary cap, thus hampering their chances of revamping their roster.
Whatever the case, it seems like they’re done with not competing and want to go back to their winning ways ASAP.NEXT: Chris Paul Is Being Linked To 1 Surprise NBA Team This Offseason
