At this point, it’s only a matter of time before the Houston Rockets attempt to do something – anything – to change their fate.
The team is the worst in the West with a dreadful 11-38 record.
That means that the 2022-23 season is over for this team and they are just biding their time and waiting for the offseason to come around.
They are hopeful that the upcoming draft and some clever and smart trade deals improve their chances for next year.

Apparently, the Rockets have interest in both Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers and John Collins of the Atlanta Hawks.
Both of these players have been spoken of as possible trade targets for multiple teams.
For months now, we have heard rumors of both of them leaving their respective squads.
Indeed, the Rockets aren’t the only team that is thinking about taking a run at both Turner and Collins.
The question is what would Houston be able to offer that no other team could?
They would have to trade a lot of assets and draft picks in order to get just one of these stars.
Both are high-profile players who would demand a lot in return.
For 2022-23, Turner has been going off for 17.4 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, which are some of the best numbers of his career.
That means he wouldn’t be a cheap acquisition.
As for Collins, he has averaged 13.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists, which are actually less than what we saw from him last season.
Regardless of his diminished returns, Collins would also be an expensive trade for the Rockets.
The Rockets are intent on changing their team and improving their chances by any means necessary.
Whether it be through the draft of big trades, Houston is hoping this season is their lowest point.
