The Tampa Bay Rays have been an incredible success story this season.
After bowing out in the Wild Card Series last year, the Rays came into the 2023 season with something to prove.
So far, they have proven to be one of the elite teams in all of baseball.
The Rays still own the best record in all of baseball and hold a four-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East.
And as the month of May reaches its end and we begin another week of the 2023 MLB season, the Rays remain at the top of the MLB.com power rankings.

With the Rays at the top, there are plenty of other teams also making noise.
The Texas Rangers are right behind them on the list.
The Orioles, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, and Seattle Mariners are also on the list in the top 10.
But it’s the Rays who are still at the top.
Their offense leads all of baseball in home runs, RBI, stolen bases, runs scored, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS.
With names such as Yandy Diaz, Randy Arozarena, Isaac Paredes, Wander Franco, Harold Ramirez, and Brandon Lowe in their lineup, the Rays have produced quite well offensively.
Things have been going quite well on the pitching side of things too, as left-hander Shane McClanahan has fully established himself as the team’s ace, starting the season with an 8-0 record and a 1.97 ERA over 64 innings of work.
The Rays have become a powerhouse and are still dominating the rest of the league.
