The Baltimore Ravens are playing with fire with Lamar Jackson.
They’re pretty much in control of the situation, as they know no other team will offer Lamar what he’s currently looking for.
However, the former MVP could also threaten to sit out, as he’s made it quite clear that he has no intention whatsoever of suiting up for the franchise ever again.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that they’re doing their due diligence on projected top-10 pick Anthony Richardson.
The Florida standout will meet with several teams after his Pro Day at Gainesville, including the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, and Ravens.

Notably, every single one of those teams but the Ravens are craving a young QB for the future, but there was no need for Eric DeCosta to put his team in that position as well.
Also, the Ravens currently have the 22nd overall pick, so Richardson is expected to be long gone by then, so this could only be another mind game from the Ravens in this never-ending standoff with their franchise QB.
Needless to say, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter.
For what it’s worth Baltimore does not have the capital to move up they would have to trade Lamar to one of the top ten teams

The majority of teams are in the top 11, except for the Ravens' 22nd overall. (smoke)
Great news for the Cardinals they control the draft with the third overall pick after Stroud/Young are off the board.

The Ravens have a franchise building block that hasn’t even reached its peak yet.
He’s a certain thing, while Richardson — or any other rookie, for that matter — isn’t.
Hopefully, they’ll be able to sort things out at some point, but it just doesn’t seem possible anymore.NEXT: NFL Insider Says Lamar Jackson Sitting Out The Season Is Possible
