With Aaron Rodgers waiting to join the New York Jets any day now, the attention in the NFL has shifted to superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
After Jackson admitted that he asked the Ravens to trade him earlier this week, everyone has been wondering where the former NFL MVP might land or if he can work things out to stay in Baltimore.
As of right now, all signs point to an ugly divorce between Jackson and the Ravens, with the two sides still not seeing eye-to-eye on a new contract, which leads to more speculation about what the future holds for the superstar.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Jackson could end up sitting out the entire 2023 NFL season to prove a point.

With the Ravens and Jackson not budging on their stances in these contract negotiations, the logical thing to do would be to trade the 26-year-old and move on.
However, it appears that quarterback-needy teams around the league aren’t jumping at the prospect of trading for and then paying Jackson, which is a bit surprising.
The one thing that seems clear at this point is that no team wants to pay Jackson a fully guaranteed contract, nor do they want to give up draft picks to acquire him in a trade.
It’ll be interesting to see if things change leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft, which takes place on April 27.
The Ravens or another team may decide to go all in and make a move, as a lot can change from now until draft day.
