In relief of Jackson, Huntley had an impressive stat line, going 27/32 for 187 yards.
While he had no touchdowns and one interception, Huntley did his job well enough for the Ravens to pull out a much-needed victory against the Broncos.
What’s Next For The Ravens
Jackson’s status for the rest of the season is unknown.
He could be out for a few days, or a few weeks, but hasn’t been placed on injured reserve.
By not placing him on the IR, the Ravens are letting the league know that they are optimistic that Jackson will likely play again this season.
The signing of Brett Hundley shows that the Ravens at least need a temporary backup for Huntley until Jackson can return.
The good news for the Ravens is that Huntley has proven to be a reliable backup for Jackson.
The Ravens can be confident that, although he doesn’t hold the same caliber of the ceiling as Jackson, Huntley can hold down the fort when he is on the field.
He certainly has his work cut out for him, as the Ravens’ remaining games are against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, Steelers again, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
