Now that the Brooklyn Nets are sure that Kevin Durant is returning for another season, they are starting to plan ahead even more.
That means they are trying to assemble a squad that can keep Durant and Kyrie Irving happy and competitive too.
Remember, this is a team that hasn’t delivered on its postseason promise to fans – at least not yet.
They want to change that in the 2022-23 season.
Sources: The Brooklyn Nets are looking to add a veteran backup center. Tristan Thompson is among the candidates to keep an eye on. Nets also have exploratory interest in forward Markieff Morris, @hoopshype can confirm. @NetsDaily was first on Morris news. https://t.co/4a5A6q2wA3

That means they need to fill out their roster and beef up their bench.
Apparently, the Nets are now looking to add a veteran backup center in order to help the team’s frontcourt.
Right now, Tristan Thompson and Markieff Morris are two names being tossed around as candidates for the team.
Is this the right move for the Nets?
Brooklyn Bound?
The team needs rebounding, toughness, and a lot of blocks in the season ahead.
Both of these guys would help with that.
Thompson has been around the league a lot but he’s actually only 31 years old, which means he still has a few good seasons left in him.
Morris is only a bit older, at 32, and has an average of 10.9 points and 5.2 rebounds.
Fans are demanding the team also look to other centers in free agency, such as DeMarcus Cousins and Dwight Howard.
We don’t know who the Nets will end up with but it’s refreshing to hear that they are trying to figure out how to address their biggest weakness: their size.
They will need to make a decision soon as training camp is quickly approaching and the regular season is less than two months away.
Will a bigger, stronger Nets team improve their chances of making it out of the Eastern Conference in the playoffs?

Not Tristian, look at how awful he was with the bulls. We need Boogie a guy that can stretch the floor, great in the paint, needs a team that will support him. He’s also friends with KD. The list can go on for reasons the Nets need to open their eyes and see it.
