It feels like we have been talking about Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets arguing for years.
In reality, Durant’s demand to leave the Nets was only made public a couple of months ago.
Since then, it’s been a whirlwind, wild and crazy time full of rumors, speculation, and numerous opinionated headlines.
In the end, Durant decided to stay with the Nets.
That means that now and only now, people can honestly judge this Brooklyn team.

The Nets will now consist of Kyrie Irving, Joe Harris, Durant, Ben Simmons, and Nic Claxton as starters.
Meanwhile, guys like Patty Mills, Seth Curry, Royce O’Neale, Cam Thomas, and T.J. Warren will be sitting on the bench, ready to step up and help the team.
This squad doesn’t seem so bad at all – so why was Durant trying to run away from it?
Brooklyn’s Back
Some people think this Brooklyn team has a chance of making it far into the postseason.
Fans really hope so because last season was a huge disappointment for the Nets and they were the only team to be swept in the playoffs.
The lineup hasn’t changed that much in the last few months so how will they right the wrongs and overcome what dragged them down last year?
It’s really all about staying healthy and remaining as one cohesive unit.
Last season was plagued by injuries and the whole Irving COVID vaccine situation.
As long as they can avoid both of those things in the upcoming season, the team has a chance to really compete.
Durant will need to step up and continue to foster his leadership role, which will help his teammates and also put this ugly summer behind him.
