We all knew that this NBA season was going to be filled with teams who would play and fight harder than ever before.
Over the last few years, multiple superstars have transformed their teams into competitive and promising squads.
This has especially been true in the West.
Players such as Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, and Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies, have turned their franchises into must-watch groups.

Therefore, it is no surprise to see that there are now 5 teams in the Western Conference that are above .500.
Those teams are the Nuggets (.667), the Grizzlies (also .667), the New Orleans Pelicans (.600), Mavericks (.561), and Sacramento Kings (.526)
Additionally, there are two teams (the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers) who currently sit exactly at .500.
It is surprising to see so much success at one time.
It’s also surprising to see teams like the Kings surging while others like the current champions, the Warriors, and Phoenix Suns (.488) are struggling.
The season is not yet halfway done.
This means there is still a lot of time for these teams to build upon their success rates, or falter and sink lower in the standings.
In the end, only one team will make it through to the NBA Finals but right now it’s not clear which one it’ll be.
This is exciting news for fans of the NBA because it means that the path to the Finals is wide open for many teams.
Will the Nuggets remain at the top?
Will the Kings have their first playoff run in years?
And will the Clippers, Warriors, and Suns be able to get themselves together and make a comeback?
Who will still be sitting above .500 when the postseason starts?
