Just when it looked like things couldn’t get any worse for the struggling Dallas Mavericks, they were confronted with the prospect of losing their best player.
Luka Doncic was facing a one-game suspension after receiving his 16th technical foul of the season during Sunday’s loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
After the tech, the team said they would protest the call and hoped it would be rescinded.
NBA insider Shams Charania reported on Monday that the league did in fact rescind the technical foul, meaning that Doncic can play in Monday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers.
The NBA has rescinded Dallas star Luka Doncic's 16th technical foul, making him eligible to play tonight vs. Pacers.

Doncic was officially whistled in the third quarter of the game during an argument about a no-call.
The league said that Doncic got the foul for using profanity against the referees.
According to NBA rules, a player is forced to sit out of one game after earning their 16th technical foul of the season.
The Mavericks will be very happy to get Doncic back on the court Monday night because they need to score as many victories as possible after a dreadful run of losses.
But this news will also worry a few fans too.
Now that the foul has been rescinded, Doncic is again sitting at 15 techs for the season.
That means he is again on the verge of missing a game if he gets his 16th technical foul.
If Doncic does get that 16th call, it could come at a very bad time and could cost the team a lot.
All of this means that Doncic will have to work extra hard to be on his best behavior in the weeks ahead.
The team simply cannot be without him if they hope to turn things around.
