Trumpets have become a theme for the New York Mets this season.
Every time closer Edwin Diaz enters the game, the song “Narco” by Blasterjaxx plays, beginning with a nice little trumpet solo from famous trumpet artist and Mets fan Timmy Trumpet.
Tonight, the Mets will welcome the man himself to Citi Field to throw out the first pitch before their series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Also, if Diaz does in fact enter the game, as planned, then Timmy Trumpet will actually play his solo live for all of Citi Field to hear.
On Twitter, he expressed his excitement to come out to Citi Field tonight.

Sound The Trumpets
This is going to be exciting.
The man himself is going to throw out the first pitch and play his famed trumpet solo if and when Diaz enters the game.
It’s going to be a fun night at Citi Field, that’s for sure.
The song and Timmy Trumpet’s special solo have gone viral ever since Diaz chose that as his entrance song.
Mets fans love it and they’re going to love it even more when he actually plays it live as Diaz enters the game.
It’ll be a game full of fanfare already given that the Dodgers are in town in the middle of a pennant race, but hearing that solo live will send the entire city of New York into a frenzy.
It’s exciting enough that he gets to throw out the first pitch, as Diaz will likely be the one to catch it.
But he’ll get to fulfill his dream when he sounds his trumpet live for the fans at Citi Field.
Fans are going to love it.
