The Detroit Lions are on an impressive run.
Winners of four of their last five games, the red-hot Lions are facing off against the Minnesota Vikings.
Even though the Lions are 5-7 in comparison to the Vikings’ 10-2 record, oddsmakers are currently giving a slight edge to the Lions.
For the first time in the Super Bowl era, we have a 10-2 team that is an UNDERDOG vs a 5-7 team 😲@FOXBet | @NFLonFOX pic.twitter.com/XJpP6mfeNH

In what is making history in the betting world, a 10-2 team is an underdog to a 5-7 team.
For further context, the Vikings and the Lions are in the same division, the NFC North.
The Vikings have won 13 of the last 20 meetings between the two teams, and have won nine of the last ten matchups, including a closely contested 28-24 victory earlier this year.
Why The Lions Can Win
As previously mentioned, the Lions have won four of their past five games.
During this streak, they have beaten the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The only game they lost was against the 9-3 Buffalo Bills, although, they only lost by three points.
They are more than capable of beating the Vikings, which is why sportsbooks are favoring them this week.
The Lions are scoring 26.3 points per game, two points more per game than the Vikings are.
One major reason that the Lions haven’t had success in the column, is their defense.
They allow an NFL-worst 27 points per game.
Although they have been scoring in droves, they haven’t been able to stop opponents from scoring, either.
If the Lions can slow down the Vikings this week, there’s no reason why they can’t win this game.
