The name Jared Goff hasn’t traditionally been associated with spectacular quarterback play.
However, this NFL season, Goff is silencing his doubters and has led the Detroit Lions to wins in four of their past five games.

Goff is not messing around this season.
While the Lions only have a snowball’s chance at making the playoffs this season, Goff is proving that he can be the long-term starting quarterback in Detroit.
Jared Goff’s Season Dominance
To the surprise of many, Goff is currently seventh in passing yards on the season.
His 3,022 yards are more than Jalen Hurts, Kirk Cousins, and Aaron Rodgers, to name a few.
Goff is also tenth in touchdown passes with 17, more than Lamar Jackson, Trevor Lawrence, and Tom Brady.
Even if you set these statistics aside, Goff’s sheer confidence is something to marvel at.
Gone are the days of Goff looking shaky in the pocket, and looking less than confident.
Under the direction of coach Dan Campbell, Goff and the Lions as a whole look better than they’ve looked in years, despite their 5-7 record.
One example of this is how many points the Lions are scoring.
In the past several years, the Lions haven’t been known to be a high-flying, high-scoring offense.
This season, they are sixth in the league with 26.3 points scored per game.
If they can keep up this dominance in 2023, they should be able to win more games.
The current problem is their defense, allowing 27 points per game.
If this improves in 2023, the Lions could be a serious contender.
